Quicken not updating vanguard
A quick restart fixed that and I haven't seen it since. The only development that occurred on this version was to change the name from 2015 to 2016. I don't upgrade yearly, though, because there are no significant advantages in doing so. I've not figured out why, but if I update banking information, then move from one account to another to check balances, etc. I've learned it's best to go in and just do one thing, exit, then come back. Otherwise, it pretty much works and acts like 2013. The one benefit I did get is that it no longer pesters me to upgrade. I give Quicken 2016 three stars because, in spite of its shortcomings, Quicken is still pretty good software. At first I thought they had improved a couple of quirks. What it is not, however, is worth the price they charge to upgrade.Reporting: all the basic needs are met You’ll find the usual types of reports in i Bank: income and spending through time, portfolio summary, net worth, and more. One nice surprise was a cash flow forecast graph that takes into account scheduled transactions. When you open an account with Vanguard, there are two different account options.First is a mutual fund account which only holds Vanguard mutual funds. Not without a bump or two but experienced Quickenites will always find a work around.
The total account balance for the folder group is shown in the side bar.Speaking of clouds..mobile app is worthless and migration is impossible. Bluntly, the software does what it is designed to do. The bad new- not without the normal early bugs which I know will get ironed out.The "To Do" button is gone so if you download everything daily you have to check the Summary to see which accounts had downloaded data. The displays are pleasant enough and the reports come out exactly as they used to. 5 minutes later I got a callback(I suppose from my caller ID) from a fourth world nation. You have to e-sign some documents approving the change and acknowledging the loss of certain features (noted below).By the next business day, all of your Vanguard mutual funds will be transferred “in-kind” into the brokerage account.
